If your department has a K-9 or you know a department with a K-9, that is interested in obtaining a vest for it, please contact the President or Recording Secretary for information.

2014 Lodge Bylaws
New lodge bylaws will be adopted in 2014. We strongly encourage all members to attend our regular meetings to offer input on the proposed changes. For any questions regarding these changes, please contact an executive board member.
Proposed Senate Bill launches attack on Act 111
Sen. John Eichelberger, R-Blair County, is seeking co-sponsors for a bill that would limit salary awards by requiring arbitrators to take into account the ability of a town or city to pay for increases in salaries and benefits. A letter jointly signed by the presidents of the state Fraternal Order of Police and Pennsylvania Professional Firefighters Association calls the proposal "an unprecedented and unwarranted attack on Pennsylvania's heroes" by "a group of special interests" trying to "eviscerate Act 111." Letter to the NFL regarding ban of concealed firearms in all NFL facilities.
Read the entire letter sent to Roger Goodell by National FOP President Chuck Canterbury regarding the new policy prohibiting the carriage of firearms within any NFL facility. This ban includes off duty police officers.
National Blue Alert Act of 2013
Directs the Attorney General to: (1) establish a national Blue Alert communications network within the Department of Justice (DOJ) to disseminate information when a law enforcement officer is seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, in coordination with federal, state, and local Blue Alert plans; and (2) assign an existing DOJ officer to act as the national coordinator of the Blue Alert communications network.
